The World Economic Forum (WEF) 2017, in Davos, kicks off today which will feature UN Women Executive Director, Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, discussing women’s economic empowerment.

Video – How Ivanka Trump will push for policies that benefit women and girls 

Former Deputy Director of Commerce and Executive Director of the Office of Economic Opportunity for the City of Philadelphia, Angela Dowd-Burton, assumes the role beginning this week.

Dina Powell is reportedly joining Donald Trump’s White House as a senior advisor. Powell declined to confirm the report. Fortune has reached out to Trump’s transition team for comment and will update this story with any response.

Roxana Damas, founder and CEO of Vallejo-based Diversity RD Global, is one of 170 women selected from more than 4,000 worldwide applicants, to represent Empower Women Champions, a United Nations organization advocating for women’s economic empowerment.
